These semicircle cutting boards were inspired by an antique key-maker's board found in a flea market in France. The sculptural shape allows for the boards to be stored upright on their sides and flipped down when in use. Ideal for small spaces with limited countertop real estate, but equally striking as statement pieces for any kitchen, especially given the contrast of darker and lighter woods. Handmade from sustainable, salvaged walnut and maple by woodworker Sam Mercer in Los Angeles, California.

Made from sustainable, salvaged wood

Larger board is made from maple wood and smaller board is made from walnut wood

Wipe with damp cloth to clean, using mild detergent sparingly, if necessary

ABOUT THE MAKER


Large board is 18" wide, 8 7/8" high and 5lbs.

Smaller board is 13 7/8" wide and 6 3/8" high and 2.2lbs.

Due to the hand-made nature of these boards, size and weight may vary slightly.

Sam Mercer

Sam Mercer is an artist, designer and furniture maker based in Los Angeles, California. Having studied furniture design and joinery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine, he went on to work under several master craftsmen in the northeast. Eventually he returned to California where he established a design studio and furniture company under the name SWM Studio. His most recent projects include the complete design and build-out for Community Goods cafe in West Hollywood and a forthcoming line of meticulously crafted furniture.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY

Permanent Collections offers UPS Ground shipping on all U.S. domestic orders. International shipping to Canada and Europe is available via DHL and USPS.

Orders are processed one time per week, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. All orders ship from Berkeley, CA. Availability of products is not guaranteed. If you have ordered an item that is not available or that is delayed, we will notify you via email or telephone. When your order is processed, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with the shipping tracking number. Residents of California will pay state tax on their purchase.

Expected arrival date for international orders is approximately 10-14 days from the order date. For international orders, a customs duty will be charged to you depending upon the country in which you reside and the cost of the product you have ordered. Permanent Collection is NOT responsible for payment of this duty. Please consult an online duties calculator before placing your order, as this charge could amount to a few hundred additional dollars for which you will be liable. In addition, please make sure your contact details are correct in order for the carrier to make a prompt delivery. In the case the item is not deliverable it is the customer's responsibility to pay any additional fees that occur, such as return and reshipping fees.

HOW TO RETURN

Should you wish to return an item, it must be in unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in undamaged condition and returned within 30 days of purchase. All returns must include original packaging: any boxes, hangers, garment bags, and other packaging materials.

To begin the return process, please contact us at customerservice@permanentcollection.com. We will then email you a return UPS shipping label and a return packing slip for you to mark with the reason(s) for your return. Repackage the item(s) you would like to return and place the prepaid UPS return label on the outside of the box you’ll ship back to us at:

Drop off your shipment at a UPS Store (find your nearest store at www.ups.com) or at any UPS facility.

As soon as we receive your return, we’ll let you know in an e-mail and make sure that your refund is processed within 7 days. It may take up to 14 business days from the date we process your refund for it reflect on your original form of payment.

We reserve the right to deny refunds if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.
