Lusia Murphy

Lusia Murphy, a Canadian, Vancouver-based glass artist, draws inspiration from the light and landscape of her childhood in the North. Having studied glassblowing at the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, and volunteered at the Dale Chihuly-founded Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, she went on to establish her eponymous business, lusia.glass. Her work is a sculptural exploration of functional handmade objects celebrating the fluidity, transparency, and molten nature of soft glass, with influences ranging from the way ice forms, water moves, and light dances.
