Based on the shape of a favorite vintage piece, this hand-turned salad bowl is made from sustainably-harvested Vermont or Martha's Vineyard cherry wood. Master woodworker Zach Pinerio uses a lathe to create each piece in his Chappaquiddick, Massachusetts studio. A generously sized salad bowl appropriate for everyday use, cherry wood is durable and will patina beautifully over time (maintain optimal finish with regular use of our wood conditioner). Consider adding a pair of our hand-carved salad servers to complete the set.
Please note that the grain and coloring will vary from bowl to bowl as each is unique. Avoid using harsh detergents to clean the bowl as it risks dehydrating the wood––simply rinse with mild soap and wipe out and allow to air dry thoroughly.
Hand-turned cherry wood salad bowl.
Made from sustainable, salvaged cherry wood from Martha's Vineyard.
Each bowl is finished with food-safe oil sealer that will protect the wood for many years, but to avoid the possibility of stains, do not let water or food sit in the bowl. Wash in mild soapy water, rinse and dry after use. Store out of direct sunlight.
