This is the second volume of the art journal Works on Paper, which will be published once a year by Permanent Collection. Works on Paper provides a format for the co-founders of Permanent Collection, Mariah and Fanny, to commission original research, creative writing and criticism relating to art and design. Each volume, designed by award-winning London-based design studio, A Practice for Everyday Life, is printed in small runs in London and intended to be collectable. While the elegant blind-debossed cover design will remain, its color will change with each volume.
For Volume Two, Mariah and Fanny asked contributors to consider ideas around ‘permanence’. Contributors include the following roster of acclaimed writers, artists, curators and critics: Alejandro de Ávila B., Mark Danner, Ben Eastham, Ann Hamilton, Alex Heminway, Fionn Meade, Marina McDougall, Wes Rozen, Roger Salloch, Amy Sherlock and Stephen Thomas.
