This tunic sits in that perfect halfway place between ‘favorite T’ and everyday dress; its hem is generous enough to be worn for coverage over another short piece, but it can likewise be layered over a pair of slim pants for a more polished look.

The Blain tunic in Black is made of a sumptuous English silk jacquard, whose subtle textural pattern makes this piece feel especially refined. Our silk comes from luxury British textile merchants Holland & Sherry, whose Golden Square cloth house was founded in 1836. To this day, they continue to supply prestigious tailors with the finest quality natural textiles.

This  piece is named for the late artist J.B. (James Blain) Blunk, known for his large sculptural installations and ceramics. The original vintage garment was made from a wood-pulp fiber, a material that recalls redwood, the medium favored by the California-based sculptor.

Permanent Collections offers free shipping and returns on U.S. domestic orders. We also offer UPS 2-day Air for $20 and UPS Next Day Air for $50, for U.S. domestic orders. International shipping to Canada and Europe is a flat rate of $50. Shipping to all other international locations is a flat rate of $75.

Orders are processed the following business day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be processed the next business day. Availability of products is not guaranteed. If you have ordered an item that is not available or that is delayed, we will notify you via email or telephone. When your order is processed, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with the shipping tracking number. Residents of California will pay state tax on their purchase (8.75%). Orders will be shipped via UPS.

Expected arrival date for international orders is approximately 10-14 days from the order date. For international orders, a customs duty will be charged to you depending upon the country in which you reside and the cost of the product you have ordered. Permanent Collection is NOT responsible for payment of this duty. Please consult an online duties calculator before placing your order, as this charge could amount to a few hundred additional dollars for which you will be liable. Orders will be shipped via UPS.

HOW TO RETURN

Should you wish to return an item, it must be in unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in undamaged condition and returned within 14 days of purchase. All returns must include original packaging: any boxes, hangers, garment bags, and other packaging materials.

Should you wish to return an item(s), please contact us at customerservice@permanentcollection.com. We will then email you a return UPS shipping label and a return packing slip for you to mark with the reason(s) for your return. Repackage the item(s) you would like to return and place the prepaid UPS return label on the outside of the box you’ll ship back to us at:
