Permanent Collection

California‐native, London‐based curators Mariah Nielson and Fanny Singer have created Permanent Collection: a line of luxury women’s clothing, accessories and objects based on historical and contemporary originals. Inspired by the principles that guide acquisitions at the world’s greatest museums, Permanent Collection offers pieces defined by timeless value, whose currency as art and design will endure.

Daughters of legendary Northern Californian artist J.B. Blunk and world-renowned chef Alice Waters, respectively, Mariah and Fanny met in London while studying design and art history at the Royal College of Art and the University of Cambridge. Mariah and Fanny recognized in each other a shared set of values, in relation to fashion and personal style, but also to how they approached design and art. Their graduate studies, and their curatorial experience at institutions including The Serpentine and Tate Modern, led them to the idea of applying curatorial rigor to the world of fashion and design. They began by selecting a group of historical designs they felt were elegant, minimal and versatile: the types of pieces they believed would become the staples of a woman’s personal “permanent collection.”

SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY

Permanent Collections offers free shipping and returns on U.S. domestic orders. International shipping is a flat rate of $100.

Orders are processed the following business day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders received on weekends and holidays will be processed the next business day. Availability of products is not guaranteed. If you have ordered an item that is not available or that is delayed, we will notify you via email or telephone. When your order is processed, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with the shipping tracking number. Residents of California will pay state tax on their purchase (8.75%). Orders will be shipped via UPS.

Expected arrival date for international orders is approximately 10-14 days from the order date. For international orders, a customs duty will be charged to you depending upon the country in which you reside and the cost of the product you have ordered. Permanent Collection is NOT responsible for payment of this duty. Please consult an online duties calculator before placing your order, as this charge could amount to a few hundred additional dollars for which you will be liable. Orders will be shipped via UPS.

HOW TO RETURN

Should you wish to return an item, it must be in unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in undamaged condition and returned within 14 days of purchase. All returns must include original packaging: any boxes, hangers, garment bags, and other packaging materials.

Should you wish to return an item(s), please contact us at customerservice@permanentcollection.com. We will then email you a return UPS shipping label and a return packing slip for you to mark with the reason(s) for your return. Repackage the item(s) you would like to return and place the prepaid UPS return label on the outside of the box you’ll ship back to us at:

Drop off your shipment at a UPS Store (find your nearest store at www.ups.com) or at any UPS facility.

As soon as we receive your return, we’ll let you know in an e-mail and make sure that your refund is processed within 7 days. It may take up to 14 business days from the date we process your refund for it reflect on your original form of payment.

We reserve the right to deny refunds if the merchandise returned does not meet our return policy requirements.
